The Haps

Well, I haven't posted on here for awhile. There hasn't been much to report with the bunnies right now. They are all doing good. I was really sick for a good couple weeks, so I wasn't able to do much of anything with the bunnies.

The weather has been really finicky for the last month or two - up and down. 40-50 degree weather, then down to the 20's and teens. That's Oklahoma for ya! But, I think it has made it harder for the bunnies and getting them back in a routine of breeding (since I took a break for the summer). I've got several does bred right now, so hopefully we will have lots of litters soon!

I'll just share a few pictures for now:

Here is Hoppin's SweetPea. She's my youngest junior in the barn right now - about 3 months old. She's out of Ganache and Goldie. She earned her name because of her personality. She's the sweetest little girl ever.

Courtney is my retired girl who has the uterine cancer/tumor. It's been 2 years this month since she had the problem with her first litter (which never delivered), but she is doing amazingly well. Very interactive and aware. She loves her oat/barley treat mix at night. She continues to surprise me!

And my other retired baby, Justin. He is always running back and forth, chewing on the cage wire begging for attention. Such a little ham and so spunky!

Goldie, one of my lovely does. She cracks me up, since she is always wanting something to munch on - even if I just fed them.

Bacardi is my youngest buck. Just about to turn senior. He's a little shy when it comes to breeding so far, but hopefully we'll have some nice babies from him sooner than later.

Can't forget the barn kitties!

Calevyah is our old doggie on the ranch. She's 15 years old this year and still hanging in there. She can't hear, but can still see.

And the newest addition to the barn: a little 7 week old French Lop baby doe. We got her when she was 5 weeks old. She is going to be just a pet and is mainly for my little 8 year old brother. He named her Lily and they are such a cute pair. She's very curious and out going, but so mellow when she's in his arms. We plan to teach her to walk on a leash and be litterbox trained. So, should be a fun adventure.

Babies and Updates!

Goldie's babies are doing great. They are absolutely adorable. I have 3 week old pictures of them here and will be getting some new ones this week, Lord willing (they will be 6 weeks old in a couple days).

My bucks and does have been so slow to getting back into the swing of things after the summer months. I have one litter right now, another due in a couple weeks and then a few does bred. Hopefully they'll all start picking up soon here!

Here are a few pictures of the bunnies that I took a couple weeks ago.

Bacardi is such an adorable little junior. His head is going to be a monster, just like his daddy's!

Here are just a few funny pictures of some of the farm animals around the ranch.

Shelby, the kitty, sneaking up on a little sparrow.

Roxy enjoying some rolling around time.

One of my mom's Americana chickens. They are kind of funny looking things.

And one of the Nubian doe yearlings. They're all so sweet, since they were all bottle raised.

Bunnies & Rain

Well, fall weather is in full swing in Oklahoma. The leaves are slowly starting to turn, but the weather is cloudy, rainy and chilly.

Today was an Oklahoma down-pour. It dumped! Here's a few pictures from today.

Just a little rain?!

Miss Mercedes munching on her food this morning!

Lexus peeking from behind her ear!

The ducks are in "duckie heaven" when it rains like this.

I've got a couple litters due in the next week or so. And have several more does to palpate soon. So, we'll be back up and producing soon, Lord willing!

I'm Here...more like, I'm Back :)!

Well, life has been very busy the last few months. I have been actively involved in politics and it took lots of work leading up to the Republican National Convention which was at the end of August. I spent 2 weeks in Tampa the end of August for the RNC. It's been the experience of a lifetime and one I would never change. It has not been an easy journey, but it is worth it, because I'm standing up for what is right. You can view all the details about the trip and what went on down there at my political blog here.

The bunnies are doing great. It's been kind of a slow time in the barn. I haven't taken the time to breed any does for a few months now, so my last litters were born the beginning of June. I've just started breeding does again, so hopefully we'll have a barn full of babies soon!

With everything that has been going on, I was contemplating selling out. I know, I know! The response I saw from my family was "What?!"...and I thought, if they responded like that, everyone else would really freak out too. Ha! So, no, I am not selling, I am just down sizing my herd some for the  moment.

So, I do have a lot of very nice does available, as well as a couple bucks. You can view them on my sale page.

I also finally got my website updated with new pictures on almost all the bunnies, so check out the site!

Mercedes is one of my younger senior does, who I will be breeding soon :).

Brent is a gorgeous senior buck!

This little girl is out of one of the litters from our red buck. Isn't she beautiful?! She will be going down to southwest Oklahoma to a breeder down there who will be working on the reds.

Brioni is one of my young senior does also. She is downright beautiful!

Angie is another young senior doe who is very nice! I am selling Angie, so check out the for sale page for more about her.

Lamborghini Jr. is such a cutie. He's a young senior buck who has a monster of a head on him. He reminds me so much of his grandma, Lamborghini :).

And Lexus is always a beauty!

Erika is one of just turned senior does. She is out of Krissie and acts *just like her*...such a sweetheart.

This little guy is adorable. Bacardi is my keeper out of one of my litters born in June.

Natasha is another one of my keepers out of my June litters. She is out of Keerah's first litter here. Another favorite.

And I'll close with a funny picture of one of the barn kitties!

I'm still here.....with LOTS of babies :)!

We are still here and the bunnies are all doing FANTASTIC! The weather has been beautiful lately and so unseasonably warm. Praise the Lord!

As  you've probably noticed, blogging has taken the back-burner for a little while here. Life has been busy with just regular ranch & family life, political campaigning (for Ron Paul!) and website jobs. And of course the bunnies as well :).

We have lots of babies in the barn and I'm hoping to get some updated pictures soon by God's grace. We are keeping the lynx and brkn lilac chinchilla out of Kibbles litter. And Kibbles is due this weekend with another litter!

Krissie had a litter of 8 a little over a week ago. She has a huge variety of colors in her litter, which is so fun. Lots of chocolate colors too.

Millie had a litter of 3 on Saturday. 3 FAT babies. She's an awesome mama too. One of the babies is a little broken chocolate also...so fun!

Quadra's & Renee's litters are all ready to be weaned this week to start going to new homes. I need to go do a baby-count to see how many are already accounted for and who is available yet!

Abby's babies are doing good and are of course fat-little-tubs (since she only had 3!). It always seems the nicest of her litter ends up being the biggest one as well. There's no difference with this litter. She has a beautiful broken silver tip'd black steel doe. She's gorgeous. And yep, she'll be staying here!

I've got 5 does bred and due next month, and 4 more does to breed soon.

And guess what the biggest excitement of all is?!!! William, my red buck, FINALLY bred a doe the other day! He's a year old...so it's about time! Hopefully we'll have a litter from William next month and also a litter from Vixie, my red doe. Lord willing....I'm excited at the prospect!!

Well, there's a quick run down of the bunnies. Hopefully I can get some pictures of the babies tomorrow, Lord willing.

Babies, Bunnies & Video!

Okay, well, life has been busy here. I just have not had much time to blog lately...between working on websites and campaigning for Ron Paul, and then just life, it's been busy.

Here are a few pictures of my litters. They are all getting SO big! Kibbles babies are doing great and I am a week overdue for getting their 3 week pictures up on the site. I have them all taken, they just aren't online yet! Quadra's & Renee's babies are all getting big too. And Abby had a nice litter of 3 last week!

Here are a few pictures of Kibbles babies:

I thought this was a funny picture! The cat wasn't too sure what this little thing was checking her out :) (she's good with the bunnies and doesn't bother them).

One of Quadra's babies!

Landon has been getting some exercise time in the x-pen, since he has gained a little too much weight!

I also wanted to share a music video which my sister put together (the song is written and sang by some friends). She did an amazing job!
