Babies Going Away

The babies and bunnies are slowly all leaving to their new homes. It's nice to be able to have them leaving finally :).

4 bunnies left for California & New Mexico on Friday - 2 babies, Jenny & Laci. I will miss Jenny, but Kate should enjoy her! Hopefully Jenny took when I bred her to Mud, and I'll get a baby back from that breeding.

One of Daisy's babies left today to it's new home - a fantastic pet home. He will be spoiled rotten! Enjoy him Amy :)!

4 more buns will be leaving tomorrow - 3 babies & Simin. These buns will all be going to Louisiana to a youth breeder who's getting started in mini lops. They should give him a great start.

That leaves us with no seniors ready to go right now and with about 10 babies that are ready to go still! Of course we still have all of Tara's, Kaylee's, Tat's, Sara's & Clara's babies, but I've got a few more weeks before they will be ready to leave.

Tara & Tatianna will both be for sale after their litters are weaned.

Long time!

It's been quite awhile since I blogged anything. The past week and a half has been crazy busy for some reason.

The 3 week old pictures of Tara's, Tatianna's, Clara's, Kaylee's & Sarabeth's babies are all up now. You can see them all from the babies page. They are all so cute!! I am really liking how Sarabeth's babies are looking - so gorgeous. Hoping they will be the nicest pointed whites from our barn yet!

Speaking of which . . . I just heard that Velvet Touch Rabbitry got 2 BOSV's with two babies out of Hoppin's Junior (pointed white buck - sire to Josh & Justin). Both of the rabbits were pointed whites also!! Congrats Vanessa!

The weather has finally cooled down since Friday. It has been nice being able to leave the barn tarps wide open. The bunnies enjoy getting all that fresh air! Because the barn has been open, I decided to go on a cleaning spree. The big cage system got cleaned on Friday. The baby cages got cleaned Sunday and I also organized the barn. Then the tray on the cage system got cleaned with vinegar. Very nice to have everything fur-free & clean again.

I've added two more juniors to the "keep" list - Hoppin's Lauren (Jenny's baby) & Hoppin's Brad (Daisy's baby). Got some new pictures of several of the juniors. Wow, are they all looking nice!! I especially like Brianna & Britney. I think Britney is the nicest junior of the bunch right now.

Oh, and for fun . . . here is the newest addition to our farm . . . a lil miniature horse :)!

As I'm sure you can see, I changed the blog design & header. I hope you enjoy it!

Yummy-ness

I haven't written a blog for awhile . . .I haven't had much to put up here.

The first few days of this week have been beautiful and cool, so the bunnies have been able to have lots of fresh air. Very nice. But, the heat is supposed to come again today, so the AC is back on.

Our garden is overflowing with cucumbers . . . we are getting like 20+ a day. No joke. My mom has been pickling Cucumbers like crazy, but we just can't keep up with it anymore. So, the bunnies got a nice treat last night of fresh home grown Cucumbers. They thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'll work on typing Daisy's litter, as they are 5 weeks old now. Jenny's litter I should be able to type the beginning of next week, Lord willing.

Hopefully I can get the pictures of my juniors up on my site here. We'll see if I can get that done today.

Brandy has another doe I am considering keeping, since she is beautiful. One of her chocolate chinchilla does. I'm already keeping 2 from her litter though, so it's a hard decision. But, I am considering retiring Brandy, so I am not sure what to do.
