The Haps

Well, I haven't posted on here for awhile. There hasn't been much to report with the bunnies right now. They are all doing good. I was really sick for a good couple weeks, so I wasn't able to do much of anything with the bunnies.

The weather has been really finicky for the last month or two - up and down. 40-50 degree weather, then down to the 20's and teens. That's Oklahoma for ya! But, I think it has made it harder for the bunnies and getting them back in a routine of breeding (since I took a break for the summer). I've got several does bred right now, so hopefully we will have lots of litters soon!

I'll just share a few pictures for now:

Here is Hoppin's SweetPea. She's my youngest junior in the barn right now - about 3 months old. She's out of Ganache and Goldie. She earned her name because of her personality. She's the sweetest little girl ever.

Courtney is my retired girl who has the uterine cancer/tumor. It's been 2 years this month since she had the problem with her first litter (which never delivered), but she is doing amazingly well. Very interactive and aware. She loves her oat/barley treat mix at night. She continues to surprise me!

And my other retired baby, Justin. He is always running back and forth, chewing on the cage wire begging for attention. Such a little ham and so spunky!

Goldie, one of my lovely does. She cracks me up, since she is always wanting something to munch on - even if I just fed them.

Bacardi is my youngest buck. Just about to turn senior. He's a little shy when it comes to breeding so far, but hopefully we'll have some nice babies from him sooner than later.

Can't forget the barn kitties!

Calevyah is our old doggie on the ranch. She's 15 years old this year and still hanging in there. She can't hear, but can still see.

And the newest addition to the barn: a little 7 week old French Lop baby doe. We got her when she was 5 weeks old. She is going to be just a pet and is mainly for my little 8 year old brother. He named her Lily and they are such a cute pair. She's very curious and out going, but so mellow when she's in his arms. We plan to teach her to walk on a leash and be litterbox trained. So, should be a fun adventure.
